The 39 Clues is a groundbreaking, multi-media adventure series for children ages 8-12 that spans 10 adrenaline-charged books, hundreds of collectible cards, and an online game that allows readers to play a part in the story and compete for prizes. At this program you will hear from David Levithan, who oversees the publication of the books and three of the 39 CLUES authors, Gordon Korman, Peter Lerangis and Jude Watson.

BIOGRAPHY

Moderator: David Levithan, Vice – President, Editorial Director, Scholastic Inc.
David Levithan oversees the fiction list, the cross-media publishing program, and the PUSH teen imprint at Scholastic. He is also the author of many YA novels including Boy Meets Boy, The Realm of Possibility, Love is the Higher Law, and (with Rachel Cohn) Nick & Norah’s Infinite Playlist and Naomi & Ely’s No Kiss List. He is a Jersey boy though and through.

Gordon Korman is the author of The 39 Clues Book 2: One False Note which debuted at #1 on the New York Times bestseller list. He is also the author of The 39 Clues Book #8 which will be out on April 6th. Gordon has written more than sixty books for kids and young adults. A native of Ontario, Canada, Korman now lives with his family in Long Island, New York.

Peter Lerangis is the author of The Sword Thief and The Viper’s Nest, book 3 and book 7 in the bestselling multi-media adventure series The 39 Clues. He has written more than 150 books for young readers in many different genres. He’s also a Broadway musical theater actor/singer, a marathon runner, and a father of two sons. He currently lives in New York City.

Jude Watson, a pen name for Judy Blundell, is the author of The 39 Clues Book 4: Beyond the Grave and Book 6: In Too Deep. Blundell was awarded the 2008 National Book Award in the Young People’s Literature category for her novel, What I Saw and How I Lied. She lives in Katonah, New York, with her husband and daughter.
