The number of English language learners (ELLs) in New York City metropolitan area classrooms has increased dramatically. This workshop is for all teachers with ELLs in their classrooms. Participants will engage in a language learning simulation to develop a better understanding of the challenges ELLs face. Facilitators will provide information on the process of second language learning and strategies for effectively teaching ELLs in the mainstream classroom.
