There is a cultural gap in many classrooms today as the student population becomes increasingly diverse and the teacher population remains overwhelmingly white and from the majority culture. NEA's C.A.R.E.: Strategies for Closing the Achievement Gaps provides all educators with tools and strategies for bridging the achievement gaps with culturally, linguistically, and economically diverse students. Participants will leave the workshop with materials that provide proven classroom applications that apply to curriculum, instruction, and assessment practices.
