William Paterson University

At William Paterson University’s College of Education, future educators find a supportive environment to cultivate the skills and credentials teachers need in today’s global, technological society. Dedicated to promoting student success, academic excellence, and lifelong learning, the college, located fifteen miles west of New York City on a wooded campus in Wayne, New Jersey, offers undergraduate and graduate degree programs for teachers, administrators, counselors, school nurses, reading specialists, and more, at all grade levels. The National Council for the Accreditation of Teacher Education (NCATE) has, since 1954, recognized the college’s success in promoting teaching. In addition, the college, in collaboration with the University’s Center for Continuing and Professional Education (CPE), also offers professional development and certificate programs, conferences, and workshops for multifaceted audiences. In partnering with school districts, CPE provides summer and Saturday programs for middle and high school students, validating the University’s dedication to providing a first-rate, year-round education.
