Fordham University Graduate School of Education

Fordham University’s Graduate School of Education prepares master’s and doctoral degree candidates for careers in teaching, psychological and educational services, and educational leadership. The School offers innovative programs in mathematics and science education, bilingual education, literacy and special education. By integrating in-depth training in theory with extensive fieldwork and opportunities for cutting-edge research, students develop the competency and ethical awareness necessary to become instructional and educational leaders.

The Graduate School of Education created innovative cooperative ventures, such as a partnership with the Wildlife Conservation Society. This collaborative academic program with the Bronx Zoo leads to initial teacher certification, or an advanced degree specializing in Biology/Conservation Life Science.

Fordham’s faculty is renowned for research and deep commitment to nurturing and challenging students. Faculty members consistently make major contributions in the fields of multicultural and urban education and K-12 partnerships. In fact, Fordham is a Partnership Support Organization for 10 New York City schools. As teachers and mentors, our faculty provides students with Fordham’s trademark, best-in-class education, helping both emerging and established educators achieve their professional goals.
